The International Inter- and Transdisciplinarity (ITD) Conference
Every two years, the “International Inter- and Transdisciplinarity (ITD) Conference” brings together researchers, educators and practitioners from all over the world to promote the exchange knowledge, insights and expertise related to inter- and transdisciplinarity.
The conference has been organised by the Network for Transdisciplinary Research, td-net, at the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences since 2008 in cooperation with various partners. Critical meetings that led to the formation of the Global Alliance for Inter- and Transdisciplinarity (ITD Alliance) were held at the 2017 conference. The ITD Alliance has been an organisational partner since ITD21. View past conferences.
For the next conference, the ITD Alliance and td-net will collaborate again and are seeking a partnership with a new host institution. Host the next international ITD conference at your institution!

Host the next International Inter- and Transdisciplinarity (ITD) conference at your institution! Creative satellite, regional and co-conferences are also possible!
Partner with the ITD Alliance and td-net to create a dynamic experience for international attendees to come together to share their knowledge, insights, and expertise on the critical issues in inter- and transdisciplinarity needed to build the capacity to address complex social challenges through research, education, policy making, activism, and artistic engagement.
