9 and 10 October 2025 General Assembly (Reporting and Elections)
The sixth General Assembly of the ITD Alliance was held online in two identical meetings on 9 and 10 October 2025 (depending on time zone).
- 9 October 2025, 9 am – 11 am UTC, 24 people attended all or part of Meeting 1
- 9 October 2025, 11 pm – 1 am UTC (10 October in some time zones), 13 people attended all or part of Meeting 2
The General Assembly consists of three components:
- Agenda and papers – sent to members at least two weeks in advance
- Meetings online for discussion – two hour meetings, two meetings times for each General Assembly
- Voting online – 9 – 24 October 2025

A previous General Assembly on 26 and 27 June 2025 addresses changes or clarifications to the bylaws and procedures associated with the bylaws.

The papers are provided in advance to maximise discussion time at the General Assembly meetings and to inform your vote. (You do not need to attend the General Assembly meetings in order to vote.)
Voting
The voting period was 9 – 24 October 2025. 44 eligible forms were received through an online voting form. Motions 1-5 were carried with the required majority of support votes and Gabriele Bammer was re-elected to the position of President.
Motions 1-4 were votes on the financial report (mandated by the bylaws), as well as the reports of the President, Executive Secretary and Leadership Board (an opportunity to provide feedback). A simply majority was required. Comments (from one voter) are also reported.

- That the General Assembly accepts the financial statement and budget for the 2025-2026 financial year. (Support: 43, Do Not Support: 0, Abstain: 1)
- Comment: The very low level of reserves does look risky to me, but other than gaining new members or donours I do not see a way out currently
- That the General Assembly accepts the report of the President. (Support: 43, Do Not Support: 0, Abstain: 1)
- Comment: great to see the increase of activities, working- and regional groups and members! Many thanks for the relentless work!
- That the General Assembly accepts the reports of the Executive Secretary. (Support: 42, Do Not Support: 0, Abstain: 2)

- That the General Assembly accepts the report of Leadership Board activities and the member reports. (Support: 42, Do Not Support: 0, Abstain: 2)
- Comment: happy to see the diversity and first decentralised activities – hoping to see this increasing
Motion 5 was a proposal to recognise td-net for exceptional, foundational and sustained contributions to the establishment and development of the ITD Alliance. A simple majority was required.
- That the General Assembly accepts the nomination of the Network for Transdisciplinary Research (td-net) of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences for Lifetime Membership of the ITD Alliance. (Support: 41, Do Not Support: 1, Abstain: 2)
New Leadership Board members will be announced, once all candidates have been notified.
