Membership

The ITD Alliance is a membership-based organisation composed of a dynamically growing community of experts and institutions engaged in collaborative modes of research and education. The ITD Alliance is open for all institutions and individuals engaged in and willing to promote collaborative modes of research and education.

All institutional and individual members contribute to strengthening the Alliance in order to advance collaborative modes of research and education globally.

Institutional Membership

Join the ITD Alliance as an institution. Please complete the application form for institutional members and email to Caryn Anderson, Interim Executive Secretary. Do not hesitate to contact Caryn for any questions.

  • Global visibility as an institutional leader in the practice, promotion and development of collaborative modes of research and education
  • A stronger, collective voice when informing change in research, education and funding policy affecting inter- and transdisciplinarity
  • Opportunities to network and share experiences and resources with like-minded institutions
  • Opportunities to shape the future direction of ITD Alliance activities for global impact
  • Influence on the direction of the ITD Alliance through the General Assembly and election of the Leadership Board
  • Free individual memberships (value of CHF 100 each) for a number of employees and students, dependent on the size of the institution

The membership term is 12 months from the month application is approved. Renewal invoices will be sent the month prior to the end of the term.

Departments, institutions, or research group that are sub-sets of a larger institution may use the size of their group to determine their fees and benefits.

Membership is open for all individuals engaged in or interested in collaborative modes of research and education.

Benefits of individual membership include:

  • Being part of a dynamically growing community of experts and leading institutions in inter- and transdisciplinarity
  • Reduced conference registration fees (ITD Alliance and others)
  • Early access to news and resources related to inter- and transdisciplinarity around the world, including conferences, funding opportunities, policy developments, toolkits, and publications (ITD Alliance Newsletter)
  • Promotion of member publications in the ITD Alliance Newsletter and on the website
  • Opportunities to engage with a global community of like-minded individuals
  • Opportunities to join and form Working Groups to develop and strengthen areas of inter- and transdisciplinarity
  • Global visibility as an ITD Alliance member on the website
  • Access to networking and professional development resources through the Member Area on the ITD Alliance website

Membership fee for individuals:

Annual fee: CHF 100.

Annual reduced fee for students, individuals from low-income contexts, retired, and unemployed: CHF 40

Those in difficult financial situations are invited to nominate a lesser amount that they are willing and able to pay or to request a fee waiver. These requests will be reviewed by the Leadership Board. In the form below, select fee type: Reduced-Low Income and indicate your proposed amount in the Remarks field.

Membership will be active for 12 months from the month payment is received. Renewal invoices will be sent prior to the expiration month.
